GTA IV vehicles – 4 Door Sedans & Saloons

grand_theft_auto_ivadmiralThe Admiral’ is the old Mercedes-Benz W123 analogue seen in Grand Theft Auto: Vice CityGrand Theft Auto: San AndreasGrand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories and Grand Theft Auto IV. In GTA San Andreas, it appears to have a little 90’s “makeup”. Surprisingly, it is front-wheel drive, which is the biggest difference from the original W123. The Admiral is the first car available in Vice City. The Dundreary Admiral is a 4-door Luxury Sedan, easily found in Bohan or Dukes, which appears in Grand Theft Auto IV. It serves as the base chassis for the Stretch in GTA IV. It can be very useful in a few missions like “Death Row” or other challenging pursuits . Although that admiral is undestrcutible ,there’s a few weaknesses : First ,the front window is breakable . Then the tyres can blow and the car explode when she’s got roof on the floor ,like all other cars . Take care of that car because the game often tries to make ot disappear when you have the back turned!

grand_theft_auto_ivchavosThe Dinka Chavos is a 4 door sedan found only in Grand Theft Auto IV.For some reason it resembles a 1994-2004 Peugeot 406, a French car not sold in the United States (the front also looks like a 1996-1998 Nissan Silvia (S14) but the Peugeot looks a lot closer); the sides look like a Acura TSX; the back looks loosely based on that of a 1999-2005 Volkswagen Jetta. It can be found in the Hove Beach area of Liberty City. The Chavos allows the player to drift it and easily control it. It’s speed is pretty reasonable and it is somewhat durable too. The Chavos is manufactured by Dinka.

grand_theft_auto_ivcognoscenti3The Cognoscenti is a luxury sedan exclusive to Grand Theft Auto IV. It is based on the Maybach 62 whilst the whole body, two tone paint, resembles a Maybach 62 S sedan, while the front is reminiscent of a Bentley Continental GT or Flying Spur. The vehicle is manufactured by Enus. Cognoscenti means a connoisseur or an expert in a certain field, usually fine arts.  The Cognoscenti is one of the larger cars in the game, with an exceptionally long body for a sedan. The weight and length of the car make it more of a vanity vehicle than one that can be used reliably for missions; its speed and handling are lower than other sedans found throughout the city. However, it has a powerful engine and rear wheel drive, so slides and oversteer can be achieved. Because of its size, the police will designate it as a limousine should you commit a crime while in the car.  Stevie will ask you to steal a Cognoscenti parked in Alderney City. While doing James Pegorino’s missions two will occasionally spawn: one outside of his mansion and another inside the garage. A pearl white painted Cognoscenti can be stolen outside Gracie Ancelotti’s home after you complete here random character mission. Sometimes when you imput the cheat to spawn a Cognoscenti, a pearl white one will appear.

The Imponte DF8-90 is a vehicle in Grand Theft Auto IV. It is a four-door sedan, and is fairly uncommon in traffic. This car has a highly debatable design but it looks a lot like a Saturn Ion (most of the chassis (the rear doors aren’t exactly a good match though) and headlights), the roof with a blacktop gimmick in some occasions probably inspired from theEagle Talon/Mitsubishi Eclipse (however they only have two doors instead of four), the bottom of the front has some influence from a Pontiac G6, the taillights looks somewhat like that of a 1991–1995 Saturn SL1 combined with a 1992-1999Pontiac Bonneville. The black strips on the sides could be form various cars. There are two different motor options for the DF8-90, a V6 SPORT, or a V8 TURBO, you have to zoom in on the rear to see which one you have. A parked DF8-90 can be found in a parking lot under the train tracks in the Hove Beach area as part of a stolen car delivery mission for Stevie. It sells for approximately $5,500 at Stevie’s garage in Bohan.Saturn S-Series.

dilettanteThe Karin Dilettante is a hybrid vehicle made as kind of a joke from Grand Theft Auto IV. It is based on the 2004-2009 Toyota Prius, with headlights from a 2006 – 07 Citroen C4. According to an radio advertisement in the game, the Dilettante is worth $39,999 brand new, at least $20,000 more than the real life Prius is worth. The word Dilettante means a dabbler in fine arts, or a connoisseur. It can also mean amateurish or superficial. The vehicle is manufactured by Karin. It has later been suspected that Rockstar named the car (and company) after a video game violence researcher, Karen Dill, but it hasn’t been confirmed. As being an electric hybrid,it is slow. It takes more than ten seconds to reach it’s top speed, which means making a getaway in this car is not recommended. It is FWD, so it can make 180 turns and getaway swerves easily.

emperor_2The Emperor is a 4 door car from GTA San Andreas and GTA IV. In GTA San Andreas, the Emperor is based on an early-90’s Infiniti Q45. In GTA IV, it’s based off of the ’77-’79 Cadillac Deville or Fleetwood (with a flattened front end and no hood ornament). It is commonly found in San Fierro, and is used in Wear Flowers in Your Hair, the first mission in San Fierro where CJ hiresDwaine and Jethro to work in the garage in Doherty. It is also found in Grand Theft Auto IV. Acceleration and speed are somewhat disappointing, as are handling and braking. The engine sounds as though it is a large V6 or V8, but is apparently incapable of delivering substantial power to the bulky, rear-drive vehicle. Using the E-brake around corners almost guarantees fishtailing, making this car almost useless when driving at high speeds. It is, however, a sturdy vehicle, and does a fairly good job of absorbing damage. In GTA IV, it is based on a ’77-’79 Cadillac Deville or Fleetwood Cadillac Deville or Fleetwood. It features a “beater” version of the Emperor, with junky paint finishes, broken seats and old wheels and tires.

The Esperanto made its first appearance in Grand Theft Auto III, and its design has remained almost exactly the same in the following games, with only minor styling changes (mostly to the taillights and rear bumper). A modified variant (with official taxi ID plaques) is driven by Niko Bellic’s cousin, Roman and is simply called Roman’s Taxiwhen getting into that particular Esperanto. When free cab rides from Roman’s garage are unlocked, an Esperanto will be sent to pick Niko up. It changes to a Cavalcade after Roman purchases a penthouse in Algonquin. It can be obtained in Roman’s missions after you complete them, however, you can’t steal the one Roman sends you to pick you up as it’s doors are locked. The Esperanto was one of the first cars to appear in any media in the run-up to GTA IV’s release. It has often been mistakenly referred to as an “Albany” due to the fact that the word is conspicuously emblazoned on the grille. In actuality,Albany is the “make” of the car (other vehicles are seen with the Albany nameplate on their decklids and logos, such as thePrimo), while Esperanto is the model. In GTA IV, after collecting all thirty cars for Stevie he agrees to purchase cars from Niko Bellic, with the Esperanto fetching $1,800. In GTA IV the Esperanto is extremely slow, so it’s not recommended for the ultimate getaway as it’s acceleration is very poor. It’s handling is quite good but that’s because of it’s weight as a four door sedan. It can really take a heap of damage though.

grand_theft_auto_ivferociThe Bravado Feroci is a vehicle in Grand Theft Auto IV based of the first generation of the Lexus GS (1991-1996) with headlights from a second generation Lexus ES, though the Feroci is manufactured by the game’s rendition of Dodge. No current Dodge model looks similar to the Feroci. FlyUS, the fictional airline featured in GTA IV, have some Feroci vehicles in their company livery, and they can only be found at Francis International Airport in Dukes. A common Feroci which has black rims as it’s only modification. It can be usually found anywhere. A more highly modified version called the Feroci JDM VIP(though it still says Feroci if the player enters it) can be rarely be found but sometimes can be spawned around The Exchange or Chinatown area in Algonquin. It’s changes include a yellow dangling model on the mirror, gold rims, a chin spoiler and body kit, and it only comes in black.(although if the player resprays it, it can be painted in a different colour). The JDM label adds proof that the Feroci is a Japanese car. It is also interesting to note that the name Feroci may be rearranged to spell Cefiro, possibly a reference to the Nissan Cefiro whose 1995-1998 and 1999-2003 models also share a similar profile.

hakumaicq8The Dinka Hakumai is a vehicle found in Grand Theft Auto IV and is manufactured by Dinka. The Hakumai is heavily influenced by the third generation Honda Accord. While some might argue a design influence from the 2-door Prelude (however there already was a Prelude-like vehicle called the Previon), the body style more closely resembles the 4-door Accord with slightly modified taillights and front turn signals. The Hakumai spawns in Little BayBohan, and in Steinway,Dukes. It features hidden headlights, much like the ZR-350. The Hakumai is suprisingly fast (but not durable), especially as the badge on the back of the car says it has a 1.4 litre (4-cylinder) engine, like the Blista Compact. Apparently the name of the car means rice in Japanese, it might be a reference to the phrase ‘rice burner’. Accords are popular cars for tuners, and thus may be the source of the name. There is also a modded Hakumai that is driven by the Albanian Mob with a red paint job, spoiler, and aftermarket exhaust. It can usually be found late at night in Little Bay.

grand_theft_auto_ivingotThe Ingot is a car available only in Grand Theft Auto IV. It is a compact station wagon looking much like a fourth generation Volkswagen Jetta, or its boxy European counterpart, the Volkswagen Bora station wagon. After collecting all thirty cars for Stevie he agrees to purchase cars from Niko Bellic, with the Ingot fetching $1,000. The Ingot has a high-pitched engine noise and low reliability, suggesting a V-5 engine or V-6 (Volkswagen is known for introducing the V-5 engine and a version of the V-6, the VR-6; the fourth gen VW Jetta station wagon has a 2.3l V-5 engine and 2.8l VR-6 as one of its options, which both have less than 200hp). The engine in-game may stop working after a few major crashes. The Ingot isn’t very fast, making it a poor choice for car chases. A special R type version can occasionally be found. It’s an Ingot with removed badging and new grill, a small spoiler with a small body kit, and candy red paint. It mostly can be found in the Hove Beach area, as it’s driven by Russian Mafia members. The Ingot can frequently be found near Roman‘s taxi firm in Broker.

grand_theft_auto_ivintruderIn GTA IV the Intruder is made by the brandname Karin. After collecting all thirty cars for Stevie he agrees to purchase cars from Niko Bellic, with the Intruder fetching $2,500. The Intruder’s design seems to resemble a early ’90s’ Subaru Legacy with the taillights similar to those of a 1982–1986 Toyota Camry (and the area around the back wheels is also similar). In GTA IV, it resembles the 2002-2006 Infiniti Q45. Acceleration and speed are highly lacking, despite the intimidating growl of its engine, likely at least a V6, judging by the size of the engine compartment. Being rear-drive helps, but the dismal torque is barely enough to climb a steep hill. Handling and braking are surprisingly agile, and seem wasted on the weak engine. The GTA IV version is much more powerful and sports a 4.3L (according to the AutoEroticar website) V8 with lots of torque, making it an excellent car for chases and quick getaways. In GTA IV, there is a special variant model of the Intruder. Named the Intruder VX(by the badging)it has lots of changes to it. They range from a special Candy Red paint job, a body kit with side skirts, and a chin spoiler. This can rarely be found, but mostly can be spawned in the City Hall, The Exchange, and Chinatown districts.

The Lokus is a vehicle exclusively available in Grand Theft Auto IV that resembles a second generation Lexus GS with the front of a 2003-2005 Saturn L300. It is rarely found around the city, but may be seen in Alderney. Sometimes it can be found driven around the Northwood Heights Bridge on the Bohan side. In the mission Meltdown, where Niko has to retrieve some diamonds from Luca and his mates and ends up chasing them in a speeding car chase, Luca and his buddies escape in a white Lokus (until they end up crashing in Middle Park).

marbelleThe Marbelle is a vehicle exclusively available in Grand Theft Auto IV and it is produced by the brand Willard. It strongly resembles a 1981–1989 Lincoln Town Car. But the front bumper, windows and roof pillars are from the (North American) 1975-1980 Ford Granadas, and the grille closer to the 1981–1982 Granadas. The name may come from the Granada since they are both places in Spain (Marbelle is not quite Marbella though). It has a normally powered engine like the Esperanto. The brakes are good because the car has ABS. The wheels don’t lock-up during the braking. The Marbelle is a bit higher than the other old sedans, so its no problem to drive over curbs. After collecting all thirty cars for Stevie he agrees to purchase cars from Niko Bellic, with the Marbelle fetching $1,500.

grand_theft_auto_ivmeritThe Merit is one of the few luxury sedans in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto IV. It is a good choice because it is a four door, has balanced out handling, acceleration, and speed. It can be upgraded at TransFender, in many aspects including Nitro. It’s first appearance is in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and is based on the Mazda 929. In Grand Theft Auto IV, the Merit is redesigned with a similar look to the 2000-2005 Chevrolet Impala with the back seemingly inspired by a mid 90’s BMW M3 (also slightly similar to a 1992-1995 Honda Civic) and the front bumper could be derived from a variety of cars. This car is also the standard base for some police and taxi cars, with the other older cars in the game using a look similar to the standard Ford Crown Victoria. The Merit is manufactured by Declasse. In GTA IV, after collecting all thirty cars for Stevie he agrees to purchase cars from Niko Bellic, with the Merit fetching $1,800.

oracle1The Ubermacht Oracle XS (it is called Oracle when entered) is a four-door luxury sedan exclusively found in Grand Theft Auto IV. It is based off of a modern BMW 7 Series sedan. It is central to one of Brucie‘s missions, “Easy As Can Be.” Specifically, it resembles the E65/E66 versions of the 7 series (2001-present). The front is based more on the E66 or the facelifted 7 series (2006-present), specifically the 745i. However, the car lacks the distinctive dual grille all BMW cars have. The back is somewhat based on the E65 (2001-2005) version of the 7 series. It is also speculated that had the Sentinel not been changed to resemble an M3, the Oracle’s model would be what it would resemble. It is fast, possibly sporting a V-12 or a supercharged V8. Durability is medium, owing to its luxury construction, and it has great handling. There is a slight variant on the Oracle driven by members of the McReary Mob, known as the Oracle XS (although the game still says “Oracle”). It is painted dark green with front and rear bumper kits and sport mesh grill. As well as no markings indicating its maker or name. These versions are located in SteinwayDukes.

grand_theft_auto_ivpinnacleThe Pinnacle is a 4-Door sedan in Grand Theft Auto IV, which is manufactured by Annis. It is based off the sixth generation Nissan Maxima. The back end looks similar to a Ford Five Hundred; the area around the back license plate is arranged similarly to those on many older Infinitis and Mitsubishis. Being based mostly off a Maxima, the name could have come from the fact that a Pinnacle is the top of a mountain therefore being the max height, then realting the Maxima. Though it is only seen in rare places, it is a good looking car.

pmp_600-1The Schyster PMP 600 is a 4-door car featured only in Grand Theft Auto IV. It closely resembles a Chrysler 300C, though with much less head room because of a chop top. The front, especially the bumper, seems inspired by the Bentley Zagato. The car’s brand, Schyster, is a spoof on Chrysler; also, PMP is a spoof on pimp, while the 600 number is double that of 300. The engine is a 600ci V8 ‘Semi’, which explains the ‘600’ in the car’s name. The ‘Semi’ engine in the PMP 600 further knocks off the Chrysler 300C’s ‘Hemi’ engine. The car handles well through corners reasonably well, and its acceleration isn’t too bad. However its top speed is moderate because of the heavy weight of the car. A rare sport edition of this can be occasionally been seen driven around; its changes are a dark brown or plum paint job, a sport mesh grill in the front, and a small spoiler attached to the trunk. There’s one in the alley by the Exchange District Bank in Algonquin. All around you will find them, as they are a very common and popular car in Liberty City, especially in Algonquin. The modded PMP 600 that is often driven by wiseguys can be commonly found in Westdyke and Leftwood, but it rarely can be found in Algonquin, however sometimes you can find it around Little Italy.

premier_tThe Premier is a 4-door sedan available in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto IV. It is the civilian version of the Taxi and the Police Car in GTA San Andreas, but not in GTA IV, and a cousin of the bulkier Elegant, once again, only in GTA San Andreas. In GTA IV the Declasse manufactured Premier resembles a Chevrolet Cobalt LS Sedan (has different taillights compared to the SS version). The taillights are styled from a design, called Altezza lights, that are more popular in imported cars in the United States than domestics. The front bumper might be a result of things being rearranged (as Rockstar has done with other vehicles). According to the badging, it is powered by a 4 litre engine, probably a V6. Acceleration, speed, and handling are all quite impressive, while the sturdiness and bulk of the chassis render the Premier capable of withstanding heavy damage, making this front-engine, rear-drive beast simply one of the best passenger vehicles in the game. The strong engine, responsive handling, and sturdy frame also make the Premier an ideal car for performing the PIT maneuver and for ramming other vehicles, hence its use as a police car.

grand_theft_auto_ivpresidenteThe Albany Presidente is a four-door luxury sedan found in Grand Theft Auto IV. It is based off of a Cadillac CTS. After collecting all thirty cars for Stevie he agrees to purchase cars from Niko Bellic, with the Presidente fetching $2,500. The main version has a 4.5l V10 engine. There is also a “SPORT” SuperCharged V-10 version driven by the Korean Mobthat has a different front grille with a supercharged badge, black rims, and a rear spoiler, based on the Cadillac CTS-V. It is a relatively fast car, but suffers from oversteer due to it’s RWD drivetrain. There is also a jet black version of the Presidente in which it has black hub caps but still has the same speed as a normal Presidente. It can often be seen near City HallAlgonquin.

grand_theft_auto_ivprimoIn GTA IV, the Primo is another vehicle from manufacturer “Albany“, the maker of the Esperanto which is what Roman’s Taxi is based on. The Primo is clearly based on 1987–1993 Cadillac Allante but with a four door design and the roof seems like its of another car (probably a 1989-1996 Buick Century). There are two different styles of Primo. There is a standard middle-of-the-road sedan, and there is also one with a special “Supercharged V8” badge on its decklid. The supercharged Primo is lowered with added ground effects and a spoiler. It always comes in maroon, and is the vehicle of choice for members of theSpanish Lords (though it can be repainted at a Pay ‘n’ Spray in the standard Primo colors). However, despite the ‘Supercharged V8’ badge, it has the same performance as the regular Primo, and sounds just like the regular Primo – nothing like a V8, which leads us to believe that the effects are purely cosmetic. A black version without body kits but with gold rims and grill can be spotted, however it’s rare for the player to encounter it. After collecting all thirty cars for Stevie, he agrees to purchase cars from Niko Bellic, with the Primo fetching $1,800.

The Benefactor Schafter 6.5 supercharged V-12 is a luxury 4-door sedan and is available only in Grand Theft Auto IV. It is based on the Mercedes Benz S65.

The Schafter could be considered one of the most luxurious cars in the game, along with the Cognoscenti and Oracle XS. The Schafter is probably the second most luxurious car in the game, with the Cognoscenti being first and Oracle XS being third. In terms of speed, the Schafter is much faster than the Cognoscenti and Oracle XS because of its V12 engine. Being heavy, its acceleration is not spectacular, but still pretty good for a luxury saloon, however the powerful 605hp V12 can propel the car to a high top speed, and its rear-drive layout makes it good in low speed corners. Their is a tuned version of the Schafter, along the lines of Mercedes Benz’s “AMG” It comes in silver or black and has black rims, sport body kit, and no front emblem, it is based on the Mercedes Benz S65 “AMG” models. This version of the Schafter can be found in Hove Beach being driven by the Russian Mafia.

grand_theft_auto_ivstretch1The Stretch is a four-door stretch limousine featured in all of the Grand Theft Auto games so far. The Stretch’s design varies slightly in each game, being modelled after the most common American limousuine of the period; in GTA III, the Stretch resembles a third generation Lincoln Town Car. In GTA: Vice City, it resembles a seventh generation Cadillac DeVillelimousuine, in GTA: San Andreas, it resembles the second generation Lincoln Town Car but the back lights hint a Cadillac. In GTA IV, it is the limo version of the Admiral manufactured by Dundreary. Being a large, multi-passenger vehicle with an extended drive axle due to its length, this vehicle is slow and lumbering despite its powerful V8 and rear-wheel drivetrain. It’s length makes it difficult to maneuver through tight spaces and around corners at high speed, and it’s suspension is too soft, contributing to body roll. Its ability to absorb damage is not particularly impressive either, making the Stretch more of a specific-use vehicle, or a status-grabber, and a generally poor choice for use as primary transportation, and it is not good for evading cops. Unfortunately, it can only fit three passengers, so in GTA San Andreas, you can’t use it for taking lots of gang members around.

grand_theft_auto_ivsultanRevealed to be manufactured by Karin, the GTA IV Sultan draws upon the Japanese import styling of the previous Sultan. Although no longer resembling one car, design elements from Subaru remain, along with Lexus IS300 inspired headlights, and a Mistubishi Lancer Evolution IX rear end. As a whole, the Sultan resembles a Subaru Legacy more than any other real car, which is unusual, given that the original San Andreas Sultan was a clone of the Subaru Impreza; an altogether sportier car in the Subaru lineup. Despite having grown into a larger mid-size sedan since the Sultan brand was introduced in 1992, the modern day Sultan remains fast, grippy and engaging, due to a powerful V6 and four wheel drive system. Whilst many similarly sized sedans offer similar straight line performance, the added stability of the Sultan allows fast cornering, making it a perfect choice for races or getaways. After collecting all thirty cars for Stevie he agrees to purchase cars from Niko Bellic, with the Sultan fetching $3,500.

vincentThe Vincent resembles a BMW E34 5 Series in San Andreas, even though the BMW 5 series is much narrower than the Vincent. In in GTA IV, it more closely resembles a 1999-2003 Mitsubishi Galant from the front and a 2nd generation Kia Optima from the rear, with the only difference being that the Vincent is rear-wheel drive, while the Galant is front-wheel drive. it is manufactured by Maibatsu in GTA IV, and has the badging “Maibatsu Vincent LX2007”. Acceleration and speed are competent, but unimpressive. The throaty engine sounds like a V6 and delivers sufficient torque, but this is unfortunately wasted on the front-wheel drivetrain. Handling is mushy, and the car suffers from understeer, but the brakes are quite good. The overall performance of the car is inferior to that of the Sentinel, which is also based off of another BMW model. However, the Vincent is relatively well-constructed, enabling it to withstand a fair amount of damage. GTA IV features two versions of the Vincent. The LX2007 version occurs frequently and sometimes more often then the normal version. The LX2007 has a hood scoop, a small spoiler and side skirts. There is no performance difference between the two. After collecting all thirty cars for Stevie he agrees to purchase cars from Niko Bellic, with the Vincent fetching $2,000.

washingtonThe Washington is a 4 door sedan found in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City,Grand Theft Auto: San AndreasGrand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories andGrand Theft Auto IV. It is available in many colors throughout the games except black in GTA Vice City, which is reserved for only the FBI Washington. However, the X-Box version of the game spawns the cars only in white. It can be found fairly widely throughout the map in GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas. In Vice City and San Andreas, the Washington bears a similarity to a Sixth GenerationLincoln Continental but the front and back look more like a Lincoln Mark VII. In GTA IV, the Washington is now a clone of a current Lincoln Town Car L or the lengthened version of the regular town car. The headlights and grille have a slight resemblance to a 2008-present Ford Taurus.  The GTA IV version is one of the cars Stevie requests for his Car Theft missions. Acceleration and speed are surprisingly satisfying for this large vehicle. The rear-drive Washington is powered by a V8, and handling and braking match the engine’s power quite well, although fishtailing is common. Furthermore, the body is sturdy and can withstand a good deal of damage, making this an ideal drive-by vehicle. It’s weight also makes it good for ramming cars out of the way, for example a police road block.

800px-willardgta-ivThe Willard is a four-door car that is available in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, as well as in Grand Theft Auto IV. The car was featured in the third trailer for GTA IV, Move Up, Ladies, as a chase car driven by loan sharks. It resembles a 1988–1993 Dodge Dynasty in San Andreas, and in GTA IV it strongly resembles a 1986 Buick LeSabre with nothing appearing altered except the the taillights (which might be influenced by another car). In San Andreas, the car has an average top speed, but it suffers from understeer. In San Andreas, the car is usually found in Los Santos. In GTA IV, it’s usually found around Dukes, but rarely you can encounter it. Willard also happens to be the car company that makes the Elegance (possibly the Elegant), but for some unknown reason, this particular vehicle is simply called a “Willard.” Some vehicles in GTA IV can be seen with license plate frames that say “Liberty City Willard,” suggesting they were purchased at the city’s Willard dealership. The dealer is based off of real life companies Buick and Mercury. The outside of the logo is somewhat shaped like the Hudson Motors logo and the squiggle inside may be inspired from the ones on the classic Chrysler emblem (or winged logo) but the resemblance isn’t very strong

My very favourite two…

These are my favorite two cars in GTA IV. Yes, its the Range Rover look-a-like, the Huntley Sport and the 300c copycat, the PMP600. Though I think the Huntley Sport moves like a bad ass trolley at Tescos, the PMP600 is smooth and f**kn sweet. Check them out…

The Huntley Sport is an SUV featured in GTA IV, an adaption of the Huntley that resembles the 2006-present Range Rover Sport, although it is slightly boxier.

The Huntley Sport has better than average acceleration and top speed due to its 4.8 liter turbocharged V8.It also has better handling when compared to other SUVs in GTA IV, but it is much weaker when it comes to taking damage and going off-road.It can hit it’s top speed reasonably well. A special edition of the Huntley Sport is unlocked after completing all of Little Jacob’s drug deals, it’s a Huntley Sport with a yellow and green paint job called the Rasta Huntley After doing a boating trip with Brucie, the one with a olive and yellow paint job can be taken at the docks where you first get on the boat. It’s also one of the cars Stevie requests through his text messages, however it’s parked outside the police station at Bohan. Rarely another Huntley Sport with a black paint job and a red stripe through can be spotted around Dukes and Broker. (Source: GTA Wiki)

pmp_600The Schyster PMP 600 is a 4-door car featured only in Grand Theft Auto IV. GTA IV Cheats

Cheats for all you cheaters out there!!!

While playing the game, press Up to display Niko’s cell phone. Press Up again to access the keypad. Then, enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function. Once a code has been entered correctly, a new “Cheats” menu option will be available on your phone, below “Options”, where you can access the cheats without having to enter the phone number again. Note: Do not save the game after enabling a code to avoid unforeseen problems. Enabling some cheats will prevent the indicated achievement(s) from being earned. You can usually only spawn one vehicle at a time. Any previously spawned vehicles will disappear. However, if you spawn a vehicle, save the game, and load again, you can spawn another one and your original will not disappear. You must have it in your parking space in front of a safehouse or it will be gone before you have a chance to spawn another.

Full health and armor

Easy health
Dial “911” on your cell phone. You will reach a voice menu. Dial “2” for an ambulance. When the ambulance arrives, the paramedic will restore your health for approximately $1,000. After he refills your health, kill him to get your money back.

Easy money
Go to an ATM, then cause a traffic jam to the area. Wait for someone to take money from the ATM, then kill him or her. Make sure to block any nearby roads so the ambulance cannot get to the murdered victim. Take the money they dropped on the ground. Then, run a short distance away, and go back. The money should have respawned on the ground. You can repeat this as many times as desired. You can also kill more people taking their money from the ATM to increase the amount of money that respawns.

Find an area with a lot of people. Then, position yourself a decent distance away, and enable the “Spawn Jetmax” code. The boat should spawn above the people, fall on them, and kill them without raising your wanted level. You can then pick up the money dropped by the people killed. Repeat this process as many times as desired.

After completing all of Stevie’s 30 vehicle thefts, go to the garage in south Bohan. Then, enter one of the “Spawn” vehicle codes, and take the vehicle to the garage to get the indicated amount of money as long as the vehicle is in perfect condition. Repeat this as many times as desired.

Cognoscenti: $9,000, Comet: $6,000, NRG-900: $2,500, Sanchez: $1,200, SuperGT: $11,000, Turismo: $11,000

After completing all of Stevie’s 30 vehicle thefts, take a taxi to the Perseus on Pyrite Street and Bismarck Avenue. Walk to the Grotti car dealership with a baseball bat. Use your baseball bat to break open the window on the east side of the building near the tree that has a Turismo parked behind it. Try not to damage this car. Take the Turismo, and drive it to Stevie’s car shop. Taking the Charge Island bridge to Bohan is the best route. Stevie will give you approximately $10,000 for the car, depending on its condition. You can then take a taxi back to the dealership and do it again.

Steal an armored truck, and blow it up to get approximately $1,100 from the piles of money surrounding the wreckage.

There is a glitch in Aldeney at the intersection of Tudor and Port Tudor, close to the prison where you visit Gerald. You can find a total of nine armored trucks arriving back-to-back. Highjack one, then block the road. Another one will appear. Blow them up one-by-one. There is a total of approximately $1,100 on each truck, which is especially useful when just starting out or if you need money.

Steal a Securicar, and blow it up to get approximately $1,000 from the piles surrounding the wreckage. To do this without getting a wanted level, you must drive it and get it damaged until it catches fire and explodes. Do not attack it with a weapon or you will get a two star wanted level. If the smoking Securicar stops running and still is not on fire, use your cell phone to call anyone, then hang up while it is dialing. The Securicar will start again, allowing you to do the last amount of damage to get it to catch on fire and explode.

Go to a strip club, and kill the strippers. Each one drops about five or six wads of cash, but all the guards will attack you.

Easily lower wanted level
If you want to get rid of your wanted level, simply start a mission. Your wanted level will instantly go away. If there were any police cars chasing you, the police will be gone but the cars will still be there.
To lose your wanted level, simply enter a safehouse, and save your progress. When you wake up, your wanted level will be gone.

Repairing engine
If your vehicle breaks down and will not start, call any number saved in your cell phone or “911”, and your engine should start again.

Quick repair
While in a vehicle, if you drive over a health pack, your health will be restored and any damage to your car will fully repaired. This is very useful while playing online in a vehicle that has caught fire.

Parking more vehicles
Outside your first hideout is a small parking area to park your vehicles and save them. Instead of parking your vehicles fully within the lines, you can park your vehicles partially within the lines to allow for more vehicles to be parked and saved.

At the start of the game it would appear that you can only save two vehicles parked in the “Residents Parking Only” parking spaces in front of your safe house. However, if you can find other “Residents Parking Only” places around the city, you can also save vehicles there even if you do not have a safe house at those locations yet.

If you attempt to use the trick to keep more than two vehicles in any one parking space, it will only work until you leave the current game session. If you shut off your system, play a multiplayer game, or load your most recent save, all but two of your vehicles will have disappeared. It seems to either save the two vehicles closest to the center of the parking space or two at random.

Fast travel
To avoid wasting time driving all the way across the city, call a taxi. They will take you to your destination for your mission, stores, safe houses, or even a waypoint marker. You can skip through the taxi ride, allowing you to travel across the entire city in about ten seconds. This can also be done during missions.

Easy Assassin’s missions
Most of the Assassin’s missions can be completed easier by using a helicopter. Land on a high position overlooking your target, and use the sniper rifle to kill them.

Easy headshots
It is sometimes difficult to get headshots, which do count. With some practice, doing the following is an easy way to get headshots. Press [Auto-Aim], then use the Right Analog-stick to move the auto-aim target around your victim’s body. Barely move the Right Analog-stick as you are shooting. This puts bullets in the chest and head, and results in an easy instant kill.

Easy drive-by shootings
When you can, call Roman, and have him send a taxi to you. Let the taxi drive you around. You will be able to shoot at people without the driver stopping. He will also run past the cops and blockades as much as possible. When you get stuck, choose to end your ride at a destination without a wanted level.

Easy emergency vehicles
Dial “911” on your cell phone. You will reach a voice menu that allows you to call the police by dialing “1”, an ambulance by dialing “2”, or a fire truck by dialing “3”. Select the vehicle of your choice, and wait for them to arrive. They will stop and look around for the emergency, allowing you to easily steal their vehicle.

Getting away from police
When running away from the cops, you will have a circular area in which they look for you. However, if you get out and another cop sees you, it changes. To use this to your advantage, barely get out of that circle, which you will see on your radar. Then, just sit there for about five seconds instead of flooring past it.
If you are at a four star wanted level or less, find a place with grass or sand. The cops will follow you in, but they usually cannot get back out. You can then just drive away.

No wanted level when arrested
When you are being arrested by a cop, instead of pressing A (with Xbox 360 controller) immediately, click Right Analog-stick (with Xbox 360 controller) to crouch. You will still be able to walk away, but you will not get a two star wanted level.

Calling for backup
Steal a police car, and any time you are in trouble, press LB (with Xbox 360 controller) while your car is stationary. Select “Call For Backup”, and within minutes you will have two cruisers full of police who will fight on your side unless you shoot someone. Note: They will turn on you when they realize you are not a cop.

Killing blind firing enemies
To take out an enemy that is blind firing, aim for his shooting arm or hand while it is exposed. Once you wound him, he will usually stumble out of cover, giving you an easier kill.

Killing pedestrians without fighting
You can kill most pedestrians by repeatedly running into them against walls. This is a good way to get easy money without alerting the police.

Regaining health during missions
You can leave the mission area and go to a Cluckin’ Bell, hotdog stand, etc. and eat food to replenish your health if you are low and cannot find a health pack. This is especially useful on missions where there are no health packs in sight. Note: You can also take a taxi to those locations during missions.

Avoiding toll booths
Drive through any toll booth with any emergency vehicle with the sirens on. The booth attendant will open the gate, and you will save $5.
Drive a normal car up to the toll booth. As you get close, slow down and jump out while making sure the car passes through the booth. Then, walk past the booth, and get in your car. -From: Mike
While in a vehicle or on a motorcycle, drive up to the toll booth. Stay on the far side of the booth. Niko will stick his arm out but not put money in the basket, and the gate will still open.
Drive a motorbike to the side of the pay toll wall. You will not pay a toll if you can drive through the small gap on the sides.

Free taxi rides
Get in a taxi, but do not skip the ride after choosing your destination. When you are approximately two blocks away from your destination, break the window, and start shooting. The cab driver will get out and run away, allowing you not to have to pay for the ride. You can also kill the cab driver and take his money, so he is actually paying you for the taxi ride.

Free internet access
Some of your safehouses have a computer in them that will not charge the $1 fee. The Algonquin safehouse has a laptop in it, and is somewhat far away from some of the internet cafes.

Free health boost
Enter an ambulance to get a small health increase.

Free shotgun shells
Enter a police cruiser to get five shotgun shells.

Carbine rifle
Use a helicopter, boat, or simply swim to reach Happiness Island. Go inside the first door of the Statue Of Happiness. There will be a security guard with a carbine rifle. Kill him to get the Carbine rifle.

Getting Desert Eagle early
To get the Desert Eagle before you can buy it, kill the gun salesman in Broker that has it equipped, and then take it from him. Note: Doing this will prevent you from making any future purchases at this location. This will also cause bodyguards with shotguns to chase after you.

M-4 assault rifle
Go to the Easton area in Algonquin. At the Grand Easton Terminal, go up the stairs in front. Keep going around that floor until you see a small pond. Move past it until you see a turn going left. Go to the left to get in between a tall building and a smaller one. At the end of the passageway is a dead end. Turn and you will see a glowing orange garbage can. Behind it is an M-4 assault rifle.

Yes, its GTA IV!!!

Im putting up the torrent links for all the versions of GTA IV. With thousands of users unable to run it, it just makes sense to give it out for free. I have had isssues with Rockstar’s Social Club, extremely ridiculous frame rates and laggy gameplay. I don’t actually PLAY GTA IV cos I couldn’t be bothered about the missions but I do enjoy driving around in flashy cars (especially the Huntley Sport and PMP600) and killing people. Thats it.  Pretty boring I must say but I kinda enjoy seeing the scenery and driving in cars I probably would never own. 🙂 And I play it all at 14fps. 7fps in extreme rain. So for all of you who enjoyed GTA III and GTA SA, here it is…

Viasat 1 Press Release (Woohoo!)

screenhunter_04-dec-03-12051Modern Times Group MTG AB (publ.) (‘MTG’ or ‘the Group’), the international entertainment broadcasting group, today announced that it has launched a national terrestrial TV channel in Ghana in West Africa. The new channel is called Viasat1 and is Viasat Broadcasting’s first TV commercial free-to-air entertainment channel outside Europe.

The launch of Viasat1, a broad-based entertainment channel featuring a combination of international movies and series, commenced at 18.00 Ghanaian time on Friday 12 December with the movie “Duma”, about an orphaned cheetah that becomes the best friend and pet of a young boy living in South Africa, followed by “The Cosby Show”, “Friends”, “CSI Las Vegas” and the Kevin Costner, Whitney Houston hit movie “The Bodyguard”.

Ghana has a population of over 23 million people and in 1957 it was the first sub-Saharan country to gain its independence. Ghana is one of Africa’s fastest growing economies and generated 6.8% GDP growth in 2007. The gross value of the Ghanaian TV advertising market is estimated to have been approximately USD 47 million in 2007, which represented close to 60% of the total advertising market value. The market has been growing by more than 30% per annum in recent years.

Viasat Broadcasting was awarded a five year national terrestrial TV license by the National Communications Authority of the Republic of Ghana in December 2007. The channel has been built up from the ground during 2008, with the development of everything from transmission towers to play-out facilities in capital city Accra. There are four other main terrestrial TV channels broadcasting in Ghana – GTV (State-owned), Metro TV (joint venture between the State and a Ghanaian private enterprise), TV3 (owned by TV3 of Malaysia and its local partners), and TV Africa (owned by a Ghanaian film maker).

Hans-Holger Albrecht, President and CEO of MTG, commented: “This exciting new launch is our first step into a new continent and one of Africa’s fastest growing markets. This is a low cost and high potential greenfield start-up operation and provides an attractive gateway into West Africa, and we look forward to developing Viasat’s presence in the country and the region over the coming years”.
